Covid Vaccinations

The Winter covid vaccination campaign started on the 1st October 2025 and will run until the end of January 2026.  Booking is available via the national NHS booking service by phoning 119 or going to the NHS covid vaccination booking site.


To be eligible for the NHS covid vaccination this spring you must:


  • be resident in a care home for older adults, or


  • be aged 75 years or over (this includes those who turn 75 years old by 31st January 2026)

        or


  • be over 16 and have a suppressed immune system - as defined in the Green book, chapter 14a; as below.   NB If you are under 16 with a suppressed immune system you may be eligible to receive a vaccination elsewhere.


We now offer private covid vaccinations. Please phone the pharmacy to book an appointment.

 

"Immunosuppression due to disease or treatment, including patients undergoing chemotherapy leading to immunosuppression, patients undergoing radical radiotherapy, solid organ transplant recipients, bone marrow or stem cell transplant recipients, HIV infection at all stages, multiple myeloma or genetic disorders affecting the immune system (e.g. IRAK-4, NEMO, complement disorder, SCID). Individuals who are receiving immunosuppressive or immunomodulating biological therapy including, but not limited to, anti-TNF, alemtuzumab, ofatumumab, rituximab, patients receiving protein kinase inhibitors or PARP inhibitors, and individuals treated with steroid sparing agents such as cyclophosphamide and mycophenolate mofetil. Individuals treated with or likely to be treated with systemic steroids for more than a month at a dose equivalent to prednisolone at 20mg or more per day for adults. Anyone with a history of haematological malignancy, including leukaemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. Those who require long term immunosuppressive treatment for conditions including, but not limited to, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, scleroderma and psoriasis. Some immunosuppressed patients may have a suboptimal immunological response to the vaccine (see Immunosuppression and HIV)."

Flu vaccinations

A free of charge NHS service
NHS Flu vaccinations are available to those eligible:
  • everyone aged 65 years and over
  • everyone under 65 years of age who has a medical condition listed below, including children and babies over 6 months of age
  • a heart problem
  • a chest complaint or serious breathing difficulties, including bronchitis, emphysema or some people with asthma (needing a steroid inhaler or tablets)
  • a kidney disease
  • lowered immunity due to disease or treatment (such as steroid medication or cancer treatment)
  • liver disease
  • had a stroke or a transient ischaemic attack (TIA)
  • diabetes
  • some neurological condition, such as multiple sclerosis (MS) or cerebral palsy
  • a learning disability
  • a problem with your spleen, such as sickle cell disease, or you have had your spleen removed
  • all pregnant women, at any stage of pregnancy
  • all children aged 2 and 3 years (provided they were aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August before flu vaccinations starts in the autumn)
  • everyone living in a residential or nursing home
  • everyone who receives a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person
  • all those living with someone who has lowered immunity due to disease or treatment
  • all frontline health and social care workers


School age children get get NHS flu vaccinations at school or from their GP.

We provide the NHS COVID-19 and flu vaccination service for eligible patients and also offer private COVID and flu vaccinations for those not eligible under the NHS.

2. Who is eligible for free NHS COVID and flu vaccines?

Eligibility is based on age, health conditions, pregnancy, and frontline roles. Check the latest NHS guidance or contact us to confirm if you qualify.

3. Can I book a private COVID or flu vaccination?

Yes. If you are not eligible for the NHS service, you can book a private COVID or flu vaccine at our Sheffield pharmacy for a competitive price.


4. Do I need an appointment for COVID or flu vaccinations?

Appointments are recommended, but we also accept walk-ins on the days and times we are running clinics. Please call to check when our clinics are running.  You can also book NHS vaccinations in the NHS app or online at Vaccination and booking services - NHS.

5. How much does a private flu or COVID vaccine cost?


Prices vary by vaccine type. Contact us for the latest pricing for private flu and COVID vaccinations.


6. Can I get both COVID and flu vaccines at the same time?

Yes. In most cases, you can receive both vaccines during the same visit, subject to clinical suitability.

7. Which vaccines do you offer?

All vaccines provided at our pharmacy are approved by UK health authorities and administered by trained professionals. Please give us a call to check which vaccines are currently available.

8. How do I book my vaccination appointment?

You can book online, call us, or visit our Sheffield pharmacy. Bring any relevant medical information including any NHS invitations for a vaccination for a smooth process.
