Our specially trained Sheffield pharmacists can offer you tailored support on your weight loss journey from January 2026 via our own weight management programme or referral to the NHS weight loss service.
If traditional diets have not worked for you in the past or you just want to try something different, our trusted pharmacists can offer private weight loss treatment (Mounjaro or Wegovy jabs) if it is appropriate for you.

What is Wicker Clinic’s Weight Management Program?
Our weight management program is a comprehensive, pharmacist supported service designed to help you achieve sustainable weight loss. It includes reduced-price gym access, specialised information about nutrition, Mounjaro (tirzepatide) injections or Wegovy (semaglutide) injections, and ongoing face to face support for your weight loss journey.

How does the program work?
We combine medical expertise, fitness support, and nutrition guidance to create a tailored plan for you. You’ll receive:
- Discounted gym membership for regular exercise
- In person one-on-one sessions with our pharmacist
- Treatment with Mounjaro or Wegovy weight loss injections if they are suitable
- Continuous monitoring and support

What are weight loss injections and how do they help with weight loss?
Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is an NHS approved medication that helps regulate blood sugar and appetite, making it easier to lose weight. It works by targeting hormones that control hunger and satiety. When combined with diet and exercise, it can significantly improve weight loss results.
Wegovy (semaglutide) works by mimicking a natural gut hormone, GLP-1, to signal your brain that you're full, reducing hunger and slowing stomach emptying, making you eat less and feel satisfied longer, leading to weight loss when combined with diet and exercise.
How It Works:
- You use one pen per week, on the same day each week, for four weeks.
- The dosage starts at the lowest strength and gradually increases every four weeks until you reach the maintenance dose. This approach minimises side effects like nausea.
- It may take several months for you to reach your maintenance dose.

Who is eligible for the weight management program?
Our program is suitable for adults who:
- Want to lose weight safely and effectively
- Are committed to lifestyle changes
- May benefit from medical support such as Mounjaro or Wegovy injections
- Have a BMI measurement of over 30 (or over 27 if you have a long term health condition) - if you want to calculate your BMI you can use the NHS BMI calculator

Do I need a prescription for weight loss injections?
Yes. Mounjaro and Wegovy are prescription-only medication. Our clinicians will assess your health and provide a prescription if appropriate.

How much does the program cost?
We offer competitive pricing and you’ll also benefit from discounted gym membership.
Each standard pack of Mounjaro or Wegovy includes one pre-filled, multi-dose pen which contains four weekly doses of your prescribed medication.
The
initial 30 minute consultation is £55. Whilst you are continuing treatment you will have regular update chats with your clinician and these are included in the cost of the treatment.

Is the program safe?
Yes. Our weight management service is supervised by a trained independent prescriber pharmacist. All treatments, including Mounjaro and Wegovy injections, are prescribed and monitored by our Sheffield based qualified healthcare professionals. Wicker Clinic is run by Wicker Pharmacy, a trusted provider of healthcare in Sheffield since 1952.
